Moore and Rutt - Areas of Practice

Creditors’ Rights

Our attorneys have years of experience and knowledge in handling creditors' rights matters. We work with our clients to develop strategies and solutions to fit their needs and goals.

We provide banks, corporate clients and other creditors with a full-range of representation including drafting contracts and credit policies to prevent collection problems. We also work with clients to resolve commercial collection issues through workouts and forbearance transactions, commercial loan restructurings, commercial collections, mechanics’ liens filings, foreclosures, receiverships, liquidations, replevins and seizure orders and other methods for enforcing the rights of credit grantors.

Bankruptcy

Navigating effectively through the complex area of bankruptcy and insolvency law requires an experienced, steady hand. Creativity, pragmatism and tenacity are all necessary to successfully pursue a claim. Our experienced attorneys represent creditors in bankruptcy matters, including filing proofs of claim, debtors’ exams, defending actions to void judgments or other liens, and defending claims or actions alleging preferential payments or transfers.
