John F. Ayers III

Mr. Ayers has been with the firm since 1987.  He attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he played varsity soccer and obtained his degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1982.  He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Campbell University School of Law in 1986.

John has been extensively involved in both the trial and appellate courts, focusing his practice primarily on assisting injured persons in Worker’s Compensation claims and Personal Injury claims.  He is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, Worker’s Compensation Section. John has served a number of years on the Board of Directors for a counseling ministry and has provided legal advice pro bono to a local church.

In 2006, John was named a North Carolina Super Lawyer in the area of Worker’s Compensation by Law & Politics Magazine.  John and his wife, Linda, have two grown children, Christian and Rachel. John and his wife are active hikers who summited Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa in 2016.
